Weekend Bliss 09/21/2009
This weekend we had such a relaxing one. The boy did some gardening- we bought some plants, I started to make my stuffed elephant( which will take some time!).
We went to see Julie and Julia and I loved it. Meryl Streep was awesome and Julia Childs seems such a sweetheart. Very tall too.
Anyway.... I got the most heavenly sweater from a store called Next and I have also spied a sequin dress in black that I am longing for, and the most GORGEOUS red coat you could ever imagine. BLIS
I HEART autumn clothes !

This weekend (especially if it is cold and breezy ) we are going to see the film Julie and Julia. It is so wonderul how someone creating a blog can change their lives! Anyway this film is all about blogging and food- yay. The boy and I love to have food in the house more than anything and we love to cook. I hate it when it is nearly pay day and there are limitations because of pennies! I am so looking forward to seeing this film anyway......... I know it will make me want to go OMNOMNOMNOOOOM
500 Days of Summer 09/16/2009
Films for the summer....... I really loved 500 days of Summer. It was a sweet sory from a different persepctive. I thought Zooey Dashchel was really cool and the clothes she wore were heavenly. I like it when someone has their own style. Most expecially I liked her butterfly brooches and hair clips. I love butterflies so much and have two lovely mirrors which the boy's neices gave me. Anyway we went to see this 500 days of Summer on a bit of a blustery Saturday afternoon and it was lovely.

This is so exciting my own blog and my own space on the internet! That sounds a little geeky but it really is quite cool. This space is for all the things which I find catch my eye or I think are interesting and most importantly lovely, My blog is called Harper because not long ago the boy ( my beloved) and I were watching the film Capote ( a random choice but a good one) and I did not realise that Haper Lee was Truman Capote's childhood friend and of course she wrote the lovely book To Kill a Mockingbird and her name just sounded right for my blog.
So where to start? Well I guess it will be that we are going to Edinburgh next month- right before halloween too! I have never been to Scotland before, the boy has because his brother lives in Edinburgh. We are going up on a train in the very early morning and ohhhhhh so exciting we arrive in time for breakfast. I have yet to study the guide books in any great depth, however there are lots of things we want to do, including a ghost walk ( spooky) and also a little cocktail or as I call them drinkipooh and the new Missoni hotel in the city. 5 weeks or so and we will be there!
